In-reach

Hi Ladies!

I can't even begin to explain how excited I am about everything going on with the Women's Ministry. I have felt drawn to help with this ministry for a long time, but just never felt confident enough to get involved. My heart's desire is for us, as women of FBC, is to get to know each other more...fellowship!! The verses for this corner of our ministry are Rom. 12:4-8 "Just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. We have different gifts, according to the grace given us. If a man's gift is prophesying, let him use it in proportion to his[a]faith. If it is serving, let him serve; if it is teaching, let him teach; if it is encouraging, let him encourage; if it is contributing to the needs of others, let him give generously; if it is leadership, let him govern diligently; if it is showing mercy, let him do it cheerfully."

There are sooo many ways we can accomplish this, but I think we have narrowed it down to some things that will hopefully fit with everyone.
One of the events we will be doing (bringing back) is Craft Night. We will be having our women teach us their different talents during this time, as well as work on any and every crafty project you can imagine. We want everyone to come hang out on Friday nights in the Fellowship Hall from 6pm-midnight. Our first Craft Night will be Nov 6th. Info will be posted in the Sunday bulletin and on the calendar here.

We will also be incorporating, into Craft Night, a project to get your legacy down for your family. The book we are using to get this going is called "This is My Story" by Lisa Whelchel. We will be working on this for 5-6 weeks...also starting Nov. 6th.

Another event we are looking forward to is Deeper Still in Ok, City in December. All info can be found here. If you are wanting to attend and need a ticket, please contact me, Ember Sherman @ 676-0422. Tickets are $75 for the event and an optional box lunch for $8 on Saturday.

We also have some events that we are throwing around for the future...several cooking nights that would either be on Craft Nights or Saturdays, a Mother/Son event...just to name a few.
I am looking forward to fellowshipping with my Christian sisters and getting to know you better.

Thanks so much for taking the time to read and please feel free to contact us if you want to get involved or have any questions!!

Blessings!!
Ember Sherman
